The Endless Rose

The exhibition “The Endless Rose” shows paintings and objects by David Fletcher (GB). His painting is based on the complexity of our visual and linguistic reality: references to Germanic hero characters stand alongside science fiction. The trash and kitsch of the globally networked world mix with fragments of poetry and seemingly banal sections of everyday life. David Fletcher treats this unequal image content with the strategy of equal attention. In his multidisciplinary approach, he combines painting with objects and articles of daily use to create installative constellations that evoke ambivalent, poetic and sometimes absurd associations, only to dissolve them again in impenetrability and irritation.
